Radiotagged Trout Data

Current to 7/23/2014

Radiotracking data is displayed in three maps:

    • Locations of 31 hatchery-reared juvenile (< 1 year old) brook trout
  • Locations of 5 hatchery-reared mature (~1.5 year old) brook trout
  • Locations of 4 resident brook trout (we expect this number to increase to 10)

General Instructions

Click on the Figure Legend to identify trout tag number associated with pin color. Click on basemap to change basemap. Click on a pin to identify tag number, and attributes of location such as water depth, water temperature, cover, etc. Click on yellow target circles to view images of trout locations.

More detailed maps are available through the links below each map. These allow you to select which trout data you wish to display on the map, display links to photos of locations, take measurements of path lengths between locations, print a map, and edit and save a customized version of the map. (The latter requires that you have free subscription to Arcgis Online).

In the menu and here there is a link to video demonstrations of how to use the interactive maps

A table summarizing tag release, trout measurements and final disposition is displayed at the button.
